# 11:00 Jonas and his friends got home safely. I think they were on the last train of the night. I remember when I was his age, going to London on my own to go shopping. I remember feeling perfectly safe doing it. It was a good time. As a parent, it is still a bit weird that I am letting him do it, but he is 17 and I am confident that he will be fine. He did in London for the first 7 or 8 years of his life. # 13:30 I have had the trimmer in pieces. That was not pleasant. It seems that the end of the flexible drive shaft has snapped and not the clutch. It took ages to get the snapped bit of the axel out. An angle grinder was very helpful. Luckily I had a spare clutch as that was what I thought was broken. Now to order a new flexible drive shaft. # 23:00 I baked Dutch Stroopwafels this evening. They turned out ok after a bit of practice. The dough and the caramel was easy. The wafel maker that I bought was awful. After I had made everything, I found that the plug on the maker. was faulty and there were exposed wires. Not good. Honestly. I used it anyway because I didn't want to waste all the mixture.
